About me

I am a Full Professor at the University of Southern Denmark and a former Full Professor at Tallinn University of Technology.

My research spans artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, ontology engineering, big data analytics, and smart-city applications. I have led interdisciplinary work in urban mobility, recommender systems, information retrieval, knowledge discovery, and human-centric AI.

A central aim of my work is to translate advanced AI methods into dependable solutions for real-world settings, including safe and trustworthy AI systems.
